Maine Maritime Women's Soccer Recognized by NSCAA
Lady Mariners earn the NSCAA Team Academic Award
Castine, Maine - The Maine Mariitme Women's Soccer Team was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas for their efforts in the classroom for the 2008-09 season. MMA was one of 327 Women's Teams nationally to be recognized and the only North Atlantic Conference Team to receive this honor.
"I am very proud of this accomplishment as it speaks volumes to the committment these student-athletes have made on and off the field," says Head Coach Travers Evans.
In order to earn this award, the team must get a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. MMA attained a 3.03 GPA as a team.
