MMA falls short, season comes to a close
Bangor, ME Castleton defeated Maine Maritime 55-42 to advance to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) championship game. The Spartans improve to 17-10 while the Mariners end their season at 16-10. In a repeat of last year’s final, the defending champions from Castleton will take on Husson at 2:00 in Husson’s Newman Gymnasium. More>

Goda named to 1st Team All-Conference
Maine Maritime sophomore forward Sam Goda was a NAC All-Conference First-Team selection. Goda led her Mariners to an 11-3 conference mark with 10.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. The sophomore was one of the most efficient from the field hitting 44.7% of her shots. More>

Lady Mariners #2 seed in NAC Playoffs
Maine Maritime Academy (16-9 overall, 11-3 NAC) finished regular season play as the second seed. The Mariners earned a first round bye and will play a semifinal game against an opponent to be determined at Husson next Friday at 8pm. More>

Lady Mariners ride defense to victory
Castine, Maine --- The Maine Maritime Women’s Basketball team got past Green Mountain 49-30 in a North Atlantic Conference game Saturday at Margaret Smith Chase Gymnasium. With the victory, MMA improves to 11-3 in the NAC and captured the #2 seed in the upcoming playoffs next Friday. More>

Pushard lifts MMA past Castleton
Castine, Maine --- Junior guard Katie Pushard (Winthrop, ME) had a conventional three point play with 7.9 second left to propel the Maine Maritime Women’s Basketball team to a hard fought 52-50 victory over Castleton State in a North Atlantic Conference game Friday night at Margaret Smith Chase Gymnasium. The Lady Mariners improved to 10-3 in the NAC while the Spartans fall to 9-4 in conference. More>

MMA races past Badgers
JOHNSON, Vt. (February 12, 2010) Johnson State College could not overcome a 51-34 rebounding disadvantage as they fell to Maine Maritime Academy in women’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) basketball action on Friday night 69-48. The Badgers fall to 7-15 overall and 4-7 in the NAC while MMA is now 13-9, 8-3 in the NAC. More>
