Maine Maritime beat Fort Kent 71-53 with balanced attack

The Lady Mariners won their second game of the Mariner Classic against the University of Maine Fort Kent Bengals 71-53. Leading the way for the Lady Mariners was senior guard Kaitlyn Leeman (Baileyville, ME) who contributed 14 points, making 4 of 5 shots from beyond the arc. Freshmen forward Ashley Titlton (pictured right) played the best game of her young career scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Junior forward Megan Franklin (Skowhegan, ME) tallied an impressive 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals.

Junior forward Ashley Ames (Dexter, ME) played well in the loss scoring 14 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking 7 shots. Freshmen guard Shir Fuchs (Herzeliya, Isreal) contributed 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals while sophomore forward Arcilla Jeffers (St. Kitts, SKB) added 11 points and 4 steals.

The Lady Mariners went into half time with a 45-34 lead over the Bengals. MMA held the Bengals to 19-second half points and cruised to the 18-point victory.
