Katrina Dagan
Head Coach

In her six year stint as head coach, Dagan has brought her team to the post season every year and has accumulated a 89-50 (.641%) record. Last season the Lady Mariners continued their success by finishing the season with a 19-9 record, capturing their second straight North Atlantic Conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Along the way the team broke several school records and had multiple individual honors.

Amy Young, Lauren Sakahara and Heather Moore were all named to the NAC All Conference Team. Young became MMA's first Player of the Year in volleyball and was named the NAC Tournament MVP as well as MMA Athlete of the Year. Teammate Kristi Gordon joined Young on the All-Tournament team. Young, Katherine McMillan and Nicole St.Pierre were all named Academic All-Stars while St.Pierre earned ESPN Co-SIDA Academic Regional All-American for the second straight year and
was also the Co-Validictorian of the senior class.

Dagan has coached ten NAC All-Stars, including four time conference all-star Katie Clapham, and two NAC Rookies of the Year (Julia Knights & Ashley Tilton). The Lady Mariners led the nation in service aces in 2007 and in the 2006 campaign, Becca Allen was ranked #1 in the nation in aces per game.

Coach Dagan comments, "I am so proud of how far this program has come in such a short amount of time. I have been fortunate to coach some incredible student-athletes who have brought the program and the Academy positive recognition. We have established a winning tradition and the players take great pride in achieving both on the court and off. We have maintained a very high team GPA over the past few years and in 2007 we were honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association for earning a 3.6 team GPA. We have had several academic all-stars as well as two Academic All-Americans. Aside from volleyball these young women are involved in many different activities and organizations within the college and community. Two of our players have been honored as the NAC representative for NCAA Woman of the Year which is based on academic and athletic achievement as well as campus and community service. I am honored to be a part of MMA Volleyball and look forward to the future!"

Dagan is a 1998 graduate of Springfield College, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. While at Springfield, she was a four-year performer and captain for the women's basketball team.
