 Lady Mariners defeat Unity College 3-0
Castine, Maine - The Lady Mariner volleyball team hosted Unity College in a non-conference match up tonight and ran away with a 3-0 win. Amy Young (Cumberland, ME) collected 11 kills, 6 aces, and 9 digs in the match while senior setter Becca Allen (Bucksport, ME) had 23 assists and 10 aces. The win improved MMA’s overall record to 10-5 on the season.
In the match, The Lady Mariners beat Unity College by the score of 3-0 (30-11, 30-22, 30-11). Michelle Ferry (Princeton, ME) played well, adding 9 kills, and junior outside hitter Nicole St. Pierre (pictured left) chipped in with 6 kills.
Next up for the Lady Mariners is a home tri-match against UMaine Machias and St. Joseph’s College on October 13th at 11am and 2pm.
