Lady Mariners Win 2 on the Road
 Holyoke, MA. - The Lady Mariner volleyball team traveled to Bay Path College and won both matches to remain undefeated in NAC play at 4-0.
In the first match, the Lady Mariners beat the host team, Bay Path College by the score of 3-0 (30-23, 30-13, 30-13). Amy Young (Cumberland, ME) led MMA with 12 kills and 10 digs. Michelle Ferry (Princeton, ME) added 9 kills, 7 digs, along with 6 aces, and Becca Allen (Bucksport, ME) had 36 assists. Ashley Tilton (Lubec, ME) had 7 kills and 10 digs for the Lady Mariners. The win improved MMA's conference record to 3-0 on the season.
Their second match of the day featured the Lady Mariners and Elms College. MMA battled to win the tight 5 game match 3-2 (18-30, 30-24, 25-30, 30-22, 15-8). Amy Young continued her outstanding play leading the Lady Mariners with 19 kills, 13 digs, and 7 blocks. Her 7 blocks broke her own school record set last week against UMaine Machias. Michelle Ferry had 13 kills and 15 digs, while Becca Allen had 39 assists and 3 aces. Senior Casey Morey (pictured right) broke another school record in the match, collecting 27 digs to break the previous mark of 26.
The win moves MMA to 6-4 on the season and 4-0 in the NAC.
Next up for the Lady Mariners is an away tri-match at Lesley University with Becker College on the 29th of September.
