Lady Mariners Travel to MIT for NCAA New England Regional

The Lady Mariners, winners of the North Atlantic Conference regular season and conference tournament, will be the eighth seed in the 2007 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Regional Championships. The regional tournament will be hosted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The regionals wiil begin on Thursday the 8th of November, with eight teams playing, and will conclude on Saturday the 10th, after the regional championship game.

The Lady Mariners (19-5) will take on the host school and the #1 seeded MIT Engineers (34-2) on Thursday evening at 8:30pm. This will be the first appearance for Maine Maritime in the NCAA Tournament while MIT will be making it's 14th appearance in the national tournament.

The opening match on the 8th will take place at 1pm and will feature the #4 seeded Wellesley College against the #5 seeded Endicott College. At 3:30pm, #3 Amherst College will take on #6 Rivier College and the #2 seed Williams College will play #7 Eastern Connecticutt at 6pm. MMA and MIT will conclude the first round at 8:30pm.
