Poland honored as NAC Player of the Week
Higgins NAC Rookie of the Week
 Nicole Poland had an outstanding offensive start to her 2009 season going 6 for 9 at the plate with 2 runs and 4 rbi's. The junior outfielder had a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .700 on base percentage in her three games this week. Of her 6 hits she has 4 singles a double and a triple.
Kayla Higgins got her career off on the right foot, hitting .400 with 3 runs and an rbi in her first 3 games. The freshman catcher had a .500 slugging percentage and an .455 on base percentage. Higgins did a great job behind the dish for MMA collecting 18 putouts and 4 assists.
