Lady Mariners beat UMPI

The Lady Mariners improved to 8-15 overall with a 10-6 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Friday afternoon at Ritchie Field. MMA hurler Amanda Barker (Waterville, ME) picked up her 7th win of the year for the Lady Mariners, scattering five hits and three earned runs over seven innings. Nicole Russell (Newcastle, ME) took the loss for the Owls giving up 12 hits and 10 runs in six innings of work.

Mallery Stanley (Standish, ME) led the way for MMA at the plate going 3 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Of her three hits, Stanley had two triples. Hannah Seamans (pictured left) had a 2 for 4 afternoon with two RBI's while Brittany Hunt (Hickory, NC) went 1 for 4 with a run scored and three RBI's.

Erica Davis (North Yarmouth, ME) led the Owls offense with a 2 for 3 afternoon including one run scored. Anna Lennentine (Monticello, ME) was 1 for 3 with an RBI while Brittany Humphrey (New Gloucester, ME) had a hit and an RBI
