Cross Country has been a varsity sport at Maine Maritime Academy since 1963. The Mariners compete at the NCAA Division III level and are members of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). The program captured its first NAC Conference Championship in 1998. The team trains over some of the most beautiful trails and roads in New England. The home course is a challenging 8K trail that includes roadwork, wooded trails, and demanding hills, finishing inside historic Fort George adjacent to the MMA campus.
