Mariners Earn Home Match to Open Quarter-final Round

After finishing conference play with an unbeaten 5-0-2 mark, Husson has earned the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Championship. The Eagles (8-8-2 overall) earned a first round bye and will host a semifinal contest on Sunday, November 1.
Thomas will enter the championship as the third seed and host a first round contest on Wednesday, October 28. With a 3-1-3 conference mark (5-8-3 overall), the Terriers will face Johnson State (6-8-1 overall, 2-5 NAC) who finished sixth. Thomas defeated the Badgers 1- when the two teams met in Johnson.
The Thomas/Johnson State winner will advance to meet Castleton on Sunday, November 1. Castleton (10-6-2 overall) finished 5-1-1 in conference play to earn the second seed and a first round bye.
Fourth seed Maine Maritime (8-5-2 overall, 4-2-1 NAC) will host fifth seed Maine-Farmington (6-8-2 overall, 3-3-2 NAC) on Wednesday. The Mariners, who finished tied for third but received the fourth seed due to predetermined tie-breakers, defeated the Beavers 4-1 when the teams played in September. The winner will travel to Husson for the other semifinal contest on November 1.
The top six teams qualify for the NAC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages. First round games will be played on Wednesday, October 28 at the higher seed unless otherwise noted. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at the higher seed on Sunday, November 1. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, November 7 at the highest remaining seed. Game times and dates are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
