Tatarczuk nets two in UMF's 2-0 win

FARMINGTON -- Jeff Tatarczuk (Westbrook, ME) scored a pair of goals as the University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team collected a 2-0 North Atlantic Conference victory over Maine Maritime Academy at Prescott Field on Sunday.

The Beavers upped their mark to 5-4-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the NAC with a trip to Lyndon State College on Wednesday. The Mariners slipped to 3-9-2 (0-6-1) and are slated to host Colby College on Tuesday.

Tatarczuk netted both his markers in the opening 21 minutes. The first came off a Peter Doolittle (Poughkeepsie, NY) feed at 11:40 and the second was an unassisted tally at 20:49.

Brian Lemont (Brunswick, ME) stopped two shots in recording the shutout as UMF held a 12-6 advantage in shots.

Randy Bartlett came away with seven saves for the Mariners.
