Husson beats MMA in Overtime 75-66

Castine, Maine - Husson improved to 10-7 on the season beating the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners 75-66 in overtime. The game was notched at 61 at the end of regulation and in overtime Husson College dominated, outscoring the Mariners 14-5 to seal the win.

Neil Stewart (pictured left) played tremendous for MMA scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Adam Haskell (Winslow, ME) chipped in with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists while Derek DiFrederico (Millinocket, ME) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Scott Kissinger (Islip Terrace, NY) led 5 Husson players in double figures with 18 points and 13 rebounds including two big buckets to help send the game into overtime. Brock Bradford (Kenduskeg, ME) contributed 14 points while Sheraud Lee (Bridgeport, CT) added 13 in the win.

With the win Husson improves to 10-7 (5-1) on the year and moves into first place in the Eastern Division of the NAC. MMA drops to 8-8 (5-1) and slips to second place. Maine Maritime will be back in action on Friday night when they travel to Elms College for an 8pm start and Husson will travel to Becker College for an 8pm tip-off.
