Men's Basketball:
Chad Paddock, Maine Maritime, So., Forward, Dayton, OH
The sophomore forward averaged 14.5 points and 4 rebounds a contest in a 1-1 week for the Mariners. Paddock had a career high 24 points in a win against Johnson State, going 12-13 from the floor. He was 14-17 from the floor this week, a scorching 82%.
Women's Basketball:
Amethyst Cousins, Maine Maritime, Fr., Forward, Bass Harbor, ME
The freshman forward continues to shine for the Lady Mariners. Cousins was honored as the NAC Co-Rookie of the Week and the MWBCA Co-Rookie of the Week for her efforts in MMA's two games last week. She averaged 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while averaging less than 18 minutes per contest. Cousins shot 7-13 (54%) from the floor and 11-13 (85%) from the free throw line. She had 17 points and 11 rebounds in a 67-58 win against Johnson and 8 points and 6 rebounds in a 1-point loss to Castleton.
