Maine Maritime Finishes 8th in UMaine Farmington Golf Invitational

With a composite score of 394, the Maine Maritime Golf team finished 8th in the University of Maine at Farmington Invitational Golf Tournament held on Sunday September 16 at the Belgrade Lakes Golf Club in Belgrade, Maine. Michael Smith (pictured left) was low scorer for MMA with an 85 for the tournament, which earned him a tie for 18th place.

Other MMA scorers were sophomore Nathan Bears and Mark Bailey each with 94's, Jake Emery with a 121, and Chris Wallace shot a 131

UMaine Farmington golfer Brandon Poulin shot a 79 to gain medalist honors and Husson College finished first for the team championship shooting a 321.

MMA is again in action on Thursday September 20, when they host Thomas College at MMA's home course, Castine Country Club.
