Golf Release Maine Maritime wins Mariner Classic The Mariners won the 2007 Mariner Golf Classic played at Castine GC on Sunday, September 30th. Maine Maritime and UMaine Presque Isle competed in the event. Leading the way for the Mariners was Nathan Bears (pictured left) with a score of 78, followed by Mark Bailey with an 82, Michael Smith with an 86, Jacob Emery with a 94, and Chris Johnson with an 94. The medalist (low score) of the day (78) was MMA’s Nathan Bears, while UMaine Presque Isle was led by Matt Dubay and Eric Van Wiechen, both shooting 84.
