Husson College Eagles win 2006 North Atlantic Conference Golf Championship
The Husson College men’s golf team captured the 2006 North Atlantic Conference Golf Championship hosted on Saturday and Sunday, October 14-15 by Maine Maritime Academy at Kebo Valley Golf Club in Bar Harbor, Maine.
The Eagles shot a team score of 613 over the two days finishing 40 shots better than the second placed Elms College Blazers who shot 653. UMaine Farmington placed third with a two-day score of 660, and rounding out the field were Castleton State College at 667, Thomas College at 691, Becker College at 713, and host team Maine Maritime Academy at 733.
Individual medalist and NAC Golfer of the Year honors for 2006 went to Chris Coffin of Husson College who shot 73, 73 for a 6-over two day total of 146.
Joining Coffin on the NAC All-Conference First Team were teammates Adam Duplisea who finished second on 150 (72, 78), and Lance Libby who finished in third place shooting 151 (74, 77). Neil Daigneault of Elms College finished fourth on 156 (78, 78), and on 161 it was Justin Richard of Becker College (81, 80) and Jim Hurlbut of Elms College (79, 82) who rounded out the 2006 NAC Golf All-Conference First Team.
The NAC All-Conference Second Team was made up of Kyle Feltis (UMaine Farmington), Bryan Smith (Castelton State), DJ Jennings (UMaine Farmington), Ben Kwiatoski (Elms College), and Kevin McGuire (Castleton State).
