Travis Fergola named ECAC All-Star
MMA senior linebacker, Travis Fergola, was named an ECAC All-Star. Fergola joins 12 other NEFC student-athletes on the 2009 team. The senior ended his MMA career after guiding the Mariners to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Fergola finished the 2009 season with over 90 tackles. More>

Bower named AFCA DIII All-American
Maine Maritime runningback Jim Bower and Mount Union wide receiver Cecil Shortsheadline the 2009 AFCA Bower led Division III in rushing this season, averaging 160.5 yards per game to help lead the Mariners to their first NCAA Tournament appearance. More>

Jim Bower was selected to the New England Football Writers DII/DIII All-New England Team for the second year in a row. Bower rushed for 1,605 yards, 22 touchdowns, and led the Mariners to a NEFC Championship and their first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. More>
