D3football.com has recognized the Mariners offensive line for their week 9 team of the week.

The Mariners' line blocked for four 100-yard rushers as the offense averaged 11.6 yards per carry in rolling up a Division III-record 730 rushing yards in a 76-49 win against Coast Guard.

The Mariners "O" line has had a remarkable run so far in 2009, helping MMA to a 7-1 record and top five ranking nationally in five different categories. MMA ranks #1 in the nation in rushing yards per game at 443.63. They are 2nd nationall in sacks given up per game, having allowed only two sacks on the season. They are 2nd in the nation in thrid down efficiency at 55.91%, having converted 52 of 93 attempts. The Mariners are 4th nationally in total offense at 493.00 yards per game and rank 5th nationally in scoring offense at 43.13 points per game.
